This thorough class is longer and more in-depth than the typical first aid class. The beginner will by the end of class feel confident and well-equipped to respond to a wide variety of emergencies, and even the returning first aid student will learn material not usually covered in most classes.

Basic Life Support
American Heart Association BLS
​
AHA BLS is the healthcare-provider-level CPR certification most widely accepted by hospitals and medical institutions in Oregon. This class is also appropriate for experienced CPR students who desire a more advanced level of CPR training.

Bleeding Control
Stop the Bleed®
Basic Bleeding Control Class
​
Stop the Bleed® is a program of the Department of Defense designed to teach methods of controlling life-threatening bleeding to laypersons. This class covers the three methods of bleeding control: direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Students benefit from hands-on practice in wound packing and tourniquets.

These classes do not result in certification.

Don't need to be certified but want to learn first aid? First-time parent wanting to be prepared? Returning first aid student wanting more practice on a manikin to better your skills or refresh your memory? Concerned citizen afraid you won't know what to do or be able to do it if you did? These affordable, customizable classes are offered with individuals and families in mind, and may be offered at an established location or at your own site of choice (home or institution). Class lengths, content, and schedule are customizable to individual needs and interests. As always, your confidence is the goal—and you won't leave class until you feel well prepared to apply your training if you ever need to.

Interested individuals are also welcome to sit in (audit) any scheduled, standard certification course for a nominal fee for the purpose of knowledge alone without becoming certified.
