About Fighting Heart First Aid

Fighting Heart First Aid is not a business; it is a personal website. A single CPR instructor passionate about first aid education created the Fighting Heart First Aid name, logo, and website as a platform to make their scheduled classes visible to the community, and as an avenue to blog about all things first aid.

 

I am an instructor for the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, and Stop the Bleed®. I teach for two training companies, Rapid Rescue Edu, LLC, Newport, OR, and CPR Lifesaving, Inc., WV. I am a private contractor, not an employee, of these two companies, and my blog and the views I express therein do in no way represent the views, opinions, or sentiments of either company or anyone else affiliated with them. I offer classes in CPR/AED, First Aid, BLS, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Bleeding Control in Southwest Oregon.

I care about providing the best, most practical first aid education I can. My intention is to prepare my students to respond to an actual emergency as best I can. While I am not currently a medical professional and do not have experience in the field (although I am aspiring to EMT), I take my own education, and the burden of educating my students, extremely seriously and have spent hours upon hours researching, reading actual accounts, case studies, and clinical studies of, and watching actual footage of nearly every emergency I cover in my classes. Your confidence is my goal. If you don't leave my class confident that you could respond to an emergency, then I haven't done my job.
